From St Petersburg to Pimlico

Here’s an interesting story of movement about a family I recently rehoused.

Russian woman who lived St Petersburg marries an Afghanistani man in Russia. He moves to London to live with his parents and then eventually brings his pregnant wife over to be with him. The young couple are asked to leave as it’s overcrowded and, six years later I rehouse the young family in Pimlico.

I’d love to know the circumstances under which the Russian and the Afghan met, and if the woman ever imagined she’d live in London.
